Ana Rocha, born in 1972 in Porto, Portugal, studied at the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP) and at the TU Delft. During her studies, she worked at Geurst & Schulze architects. She later worked for Mecanoo architects (1996-2004) and at Döll, Atelier voor Bouwkunst (2004-2005). In 2006, Ana Rocha and Michel Tombal set up their office Rocha Tombal architects in Amsterdam. Their projects have been nominated for various awards: the 2008 Lensvelt/de Architect Interior Prize, the Golden A.A.P., the 2009 Amsterdam Architecture Prize, the 2010 Day-Light Awards and the 2010 Dutch Design Awards. The Watertoren in Delft won the 2010 Watertoren Prize.
Ana Rocha is guest lecturer at the TU Delft and is guest critic at various academies. www.rocha.tombal.nl
