The conference Qualità Italia_Projects for Quality in Architecture will provide an opportunity for drawing initial conclusions regarding the triennial experiment involving a programme of architectural competitions held under the same title and to table a transversal and multidisciplinary discussion of pressing themes such as public commissions, design competitions and architectural quality.
The philological restoration of an ancient hamlet at Rosciolo - Magliano dei Marsi, a glass school with a 50% energy saving at Bisceglie, a library with a garden at its centre in Campobasso, a piazza repairing a gash in the territory in San Giorgio Morgeto and an urban park concealing new underground structures in Matera.
Rather than just design ideas, these are results in the making from the architectural competitions of the Qualità Italia - Projects for the quality of architecture programme promoted by the General Directorate for the Landscape, the Fine Arts, Architecture and Contemporary Art of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Department for Development and Cohesion of the Ministry for Economic Development in collaboration with the Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily regions.
