KENNETH FRAMPTON, JORGE FRANCISCO LIERNUR, WITH LUIS CASTAÑEDA, MARÍA GONZÁLEZ PENDÁS, JORGE NUDELMAN, DANIEL TALESNIK, PATRICIO DEL REAL, HELEN GYGER

Latin American Modern Architectures: Ambiguous Territories is a thought-provoking collection of thirteen new essays that explore the contributions of under-recognized proponents of modern architecture in Latin America, and propose fresh perspectives on familiar figures and projects. Join editors Patricio del Real and Helen Gyger, along with contributors Luis Castañeda, María González Pendás, Jorge Nudelman, and Daniel Talesnik, for a conversation about the book to be led by distinguished historians Kenneth Frampton, the Ware Professor of Architecture at Columbia University’s GSAPP, and Jorge Francisco Liernur, Director of the Center for the Study of Contemporary Architecture at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Buenos Aires.

This event is co-sponsored by the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture and Columbia GSAPP’s Latin Lab.
