Studiosi, ingegneri, architetti, designer, artisti, fotografi, ballerini, musicisti, botanici … studenti possono partecipare per esprimere la propria creatività

Il workshop avrà luogo nel cantiere di CASA 4 a Marsala dal 9-20 Settembre 2010. Un’opera di “Incompiuto Siciliano” costituirà il luogo e la scena dell’installazione effimera.

“Costruiremo insieme un nuovo modello di sviluppo creativo, tramite l’auto-costruzione di un “oggetto da abitare” all’interno di un’opera incompiuta siciliana. Ricercheremo insieme materiali, tecniche e metodi costruttivi per realizzare l’installazione finale. I 30 partecipanti avranno la grande opportunità di cooperare nella costruzione di un’unica opera. Essa sarà il frutto dei loro interrelati singoli contributi artistici e potrà vivere grazie alla simultanea performance delle arti”.

Richiesta la conoscenza della lingua inglese.

Numero massimo di partecipanti: 30. Se questo limite viene raggiunto prima del 20 di luglio il periodo di iscrizione verrà chiuso.

“No more 1000 – The landing of Garibaldi in Marsala: history of a monument never born, of a denied memory” is the title of the book of Giacomo Di Girolamo, Antonella Genna and Francesco Timo where is told through different kind of testimony, the history of this “interrupted” monument.In the 150 year from its unity Italy hasn’t been able to realize a monument to itself in the place where its unity has began. The product of the good intentions of somebody and the negligence of others is this space without a function.

Probably Italy never wanted this monument. (And we are obliged to reflect about the idea of unity. In a moment in which the United Europe is the main political, social and economic context, Italy doesn’t have still its monument).

For somebody to be united is necessary to solve the international economic crisis, for others the Euro has been just a chance to do new business, and for others the unity is needed to face a common problem of the planet inhabitants: the global warming.

So which kind of unity we are talking about? In the Watermill Center (New York) of Robert Wilson we learned that when the artists from everywhere in the world and from every discipline come together to create, the cultural barrier are broken, the arts acquire a value superior to the simple entertainment and make us grow as human kind.
