Good 50X70
We need to keep doing socially-engaged design, we need to express what is in our soul, our discontent with the world. That one small, honest voice will help change and that is the reason I wholeheartedly support and value the work of Good50×70.

Laurent Ney
In his quest for optimal form, Laurent Ney sees forces as the raw material out of which the engineer creates his structure, like a sculpture. Form and the interplay of forces are inseparably bound up with each other. Shaping Forces, Ney’s first monographic exhibition, presents an engineer reflecting on his own work in the light of themes like geometry, topology.
Kitchen Ecology
Spending hours slaving alone over dinner is a thing of the past. The kitchen has developed into a habitual hot spot for socializing with more integration into the living spaces of the house, and food storage and preparation is only part of the recipe for a well-designed space. As the new hub of the modern home, we expect more from our kitchen—convenience, comfort, cleanliness, the latest technology— while simultaneously demanding less—less energy consumption, water usage, and waste. It’s a delicate balance, and one that is in a constant state of development.
In this spirit of evolving the archetype, IDW 2010 presents European and American flavors to Kitchen Ecology: Recipes for Good Design, which has been composed by Designboom and Dwell. Featuring works from the freshest young and upcoming international designers, this curated exhibition will explore ways to tweak the basic ingredients that make up our kitchens to produce the most eco-friendly, energy efficient models possible.
