The Global Collaborative OnDesign for Children (OnDesign) invite you to their upcoming Working Forum to be held in Berkeley, CA, USA on June 27-29, 2012. This will be the inaugural event for their group as they seek to improve the standard of design for children's spaces across the globe.
The Forum will bring together leaders from around the world to engage in a variety of discussions, collaborations, presentations and tours. They are seeking to engage professionals involved in teaching young children, as well as policy makers, architects and designers in a collaborative effort to understand the needs of children and how best to deliver stimulating environments to support learning, discovery and joy.
The conference will be held at the beautiful Clark Kerr Campus of the University of California, Berkeley in the always exciting and dynamic San Francisco Bay Area of California. The conference will be from Wednesday through Friday, June 27-29, 2012. We are also developing optional children's center tours and a conference Legacy project for Tuesday, June 26th; a fun visit to San Francisco on Friday afternoon and evening, June 29th; and a Saturday tour to Yosemite National Park with a side visit to a new child development center at Columbia College on June 30th.
As fellow leaders in this movement to make better lives for all the children, they look to you for your ideas, support and engagement in this process. Below are links to information on the World Forum Foundation website for registration, accommodations, and a call for proposals which is due on March 25, 2012. As a new working group they are particularly interested in making sure that as many people as possible learn about the conference, so please forward this information on to your colleagues and anyone else who might benefit from this exciting new effort.
