The jury will judge the 16 concept designs and select three architects for the second phase
Here is the list of the 16 offices selected in the first phase of the competition for the Dance and Music Centre for the Dutch city of Den Haag (The Hague).
From April 20 to May 7, 2010 at the Atrium of Den Haag City Hall there will be an exhibition of the design projects for the new Music and Dance Center. The projects can also be viewed on the site of the Culture Forum Spui.
The Dance and Music Centre is the home of the Royal Conservatory, Dutch Dance Theater, the Hague Philharmonic and the Stichting Foundation, and the new building will be built on Spui Square. Dance, opera, musicals, family shows, concerts, theater, classical music and jazz will be held in the new facilities.
Exhibition of the submissions:
Business hours. Mon to Fri from 7h to 19h. Thu 7h to 21h30. Sat from 9h to 17h
Jury
A selection jury, headed by Herman Tjeenk Willink, will judge the 16 concept designs and select three architects who will design the second phase, selecting one final project that will be recommended to the City council.
The public opinion will play a major role in the decision. Therefore, following a survey of this exhibition. A survey can be filled up online (in dutch only) with your opinion. These opinions will be taken in consideration by the jury.
