The Netherlands Architecture Institute opened in the Museumpark in Rotterdam in 1993, almost twenty years ago

The Netherlands Architecture Institute will close in the middle of May and will open its doors again in DecemberLast chance: visit the old NAI before the renovationThe Netherlands Architecture Institute opened in the Museumpark in Rotterdam in 1993, almost twenty years ago. Since then hundreds of thousands of visitors have crossed the bridge into the striking building designed by the architect Jo Coenen. That experience will become a thing of the past when the NAI entrance is given a complete overhaul. In the future visitors will enter the NAI via a deck at street level and the NAI threshold will literally become low. Moreover, after the renovation the NAI will offer a de luxe bookshop, a pleasant café-restaurant, and far more space for the educational programmes. The NAI will close at 17:00 on Sunday 16 May and will festively reopen on 10 December 201.
