The Triennale is happy to announce the stellar cast that will judge the on-going open calls.
With our competitions and calls, we are inviting creatives, theorists and practitioners across the disciplinary spectrum to join the dialogue and stimulus platform that is Close, Closer. Our goal is to make the discussion around contemporary spatial practice and the future role of its agents as plural as possible.
To judge our competition entries, we have gathered some of the world’s leading experts whose contribution to architecture – as thinkers as well as practitioners – has helped drive the discipline forward.

About the Competition
The site of this competition for university students is the new headquarters of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, the Palácio Sinel de Cordes in Campo de Santa Clara, Lisbon. We invite students of all fields of study and nationalities to put forward a programmatic intervention for this Palace that addresses the theme of Close, Closer.
It can be an installation of great beauty, drama or simplicity, an idea or a text, a publishing programme or a radio station. A long-term element of infrastructure or a site-specific piece for the opening. The winner(s) will be given a budget to make their intervention and proposals from interdisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.
Juries
The jury selected is intentionally international and high profile in range, intended to inspire university students to participate and send the highest quality of submissions.
