ARCAM's architectural guide contains information on a large (and still growing) number of Amsterdam buildings, most of them post-1940. Please note that the Dutch version of the guide contains, as yet, many more buildings.
What are the most interesting buildings in my neighbourhood? What is that fascinating bridge called, and who designed that tower in the distance? What bus or tram must I take to visit that famous Amsterdam building?
The architectural guide helps you answer questions like these and we hope it will whet your curiosity to find out more. Some of the documented buildings are also included in Archishuttle, a project to make public transport passengers aware of architecture and urban design along the route.
From november many buildings from this architectural guide will be accessible through UAR, an appplication for mobile phones, initiated by the Dutch Architectural Institute NAi. For more information check the preview.
