Arnold Walz
Born 1953 in Stuttgart. Is founding partner of designtoproduction and leads the company’s office in Stuttgart. He studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and was one of the first to develop parametric CAD‐models for construction planning. He helped to improve workmanship and precision of some of the most discussed buildings of the past years such as the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart,Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, P&C Weltstadthaus in Cologne, the Porsche Museum, Lufthansa Headquarters Frankfurt and many others.
Maycon Sedrez
BA in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Regional University of Blumenau (2002) and an MSc in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2009). He is a PhD candidate, with a Capes scholarship, in Architecture, Technology and the City at University of Campinas and works as researcher at LAPAC - Laboratory of Automation and Prototyping for Architecture and Construction. He researches the use of fractal geometry in architectural design, addressing subjects as generative system, digital fabrication and design methods.
Gabriela Celani
BA (1989) and MSc (2007) in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a PhD (2002) in Design and Computation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is presently an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. She is the founder of LAPAC, Unicamp's Laboratory of Automation and Prototyping for Architecture and Construction. Her work focuses on generative design, rapid prototyping, digital fabrication, 3D digitation and automation of the architectural design process. She is vice-president of the executive board of SIGRADI, the Ibero-american Society of Digital Graphics, and belongs to the scientific committees of several CAAD conferences, such as ECAADE, CAADRIA and DCC, and journals, such as IJAC and Automation in Construction.
